Prayer B o ok
a child’s prayer
You,
who are called God,
and whom I never saw in the eyes of my parents,
who selfishly separated and deprived me of affection!
You who were absent from their fights
and their inhuman screams,
which made me cry inconsolably!
You who do not intervene,
yet want to be called good, gentle, patient …
silent God of tolerance.
Come out of Your silence, finally!
Show your teeth to the heartless parents.
Understand,
they do not understand what You call “Freedom”!
They feel nothing of what You tell them!
Understand,
they need an exemplary punishment
to realize what they have done!
I know,
You will do nothing!
But I beg You,
at least give me one person
who will truly love me,
who will care for me as unique and unrepeatable.
Then, I will truly acknowledge You!!!
