The traveller, confident he knew the way,

was guided by joy and the love of the day.

As they travelled on, the donkey sighed,

and looked at him with big, sad eyes.

He looked as though his heart would rend,

and the man felt sorry for his grey friend.

The Traveller asked “Why are you so sad?

Come, let me help you with those heavy bags!”

The donkey gladly shook off of his load,

and they carried on, along the road.
