P. 14

His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection are our hope. Jesus paid it all. Jesus is our propitiation. He is our
atoning sacrifice. There is nothing left for us to do other than repent of our sin and trust in Jesus.
1 John 2:2. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the
                  whole world.
1 John 4:10. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an
                  atoning sacrifice for our sins.
           Jesus IS our hope!

 The truth that Jesus paid it all is one of the primary points of sound doctrine.
           Q. Identify examples from other groups (churches) that do not believe that Jesus paid it all?

                         • We need to be baptized in addition to believing in Jesus.
                         • We need to take communion – and take it regularly to be saved.

                         • We need to attend church each week.
