formed in 1800, was tested at 22.8 million years old! Medicine Lake Highland Obsidian formed in Glass
Mountains, California, less than 500 years ago, but gave a date of 12.6 million years old!

"As much as 80 percent of the potassium in a small sample of an iron meteorite can be removed by
distilled water in 4.5 hours." cxliv

Using the Argon-Argon Method, the obsidian in Glass Mountain gave a date between 30,000 and
130,000 years. Mt. Mihara was formed in 1961, but it gave a date of 79,000 years. Sakurajima was
formed in 1946, but gave a date of 200,000 years. cxlv

Based on the measured helium retention, a statistical analysis gives an estimated age for the zircons of
6,000 ± 2,000 years. This age agrees with literal biblical history and is about 250,000 times shorter than
the conventional age of 1.5 billion years for zircons. The conclusion is that helium diffusion data
strongly support the young-earth view of history.

The best way to learn about the history and the age of the earth is to consult the history book of the
universe—the Bible. Many scientists and theologians accept a straightforward reading of Scripture and
agree that the earth is about 6,000 years old. It is better to use the infallible Word of God for our
scientific assumptions than to change His Word to compromise with "science" based upon man's fallible
assumptions. True science will always support God's Word.

It must also be concluded, therefore, that because nuclear decay has been shown to have occurred at
grossly accelerated rates when molten rocks were forming, crystallizing, and cooling, the radiometric
methods cannot possibly date these rocks accurately based on the false assumption of constant decay
through earth history at today's slow rates. Thus, the radiometric dating methods are highly unreliable
and don't prove the Earth is old.

Diamonds and Strata Have Too Much Carbon 14

Natural diamonds are believed to have been formed deep underground in
the upper mantle of the Earth’s crust. Under extreme temperature and
pressure, pure carbon is formed into the diamond’s crystalline form. Over
time, the diamond is moved upwards by rising magma. Natural diamonds
are commonly believed to have been formed millions of years ago.

If the rate of carbon 14 decay has been consistent, any carbon 14 older than 100,000 years is
undetectable by current measuring techniques.

But carbon 14 has been measured within natural diamonds. Either the decay rate of carbon 14 is not
uniform, the diamonds are younger than believed, or both. Carbon 14 in diamonds is evidence that the
Earth is thousands of years old, not millions. cxlvi
