6. Why does the presence of Carbon 14 in diamonds pose a problem to an evolutionist?

We all trust in things every day. When you climb up a ladder, you trust it will hold you up to the top.
You trust that the food you ate today was not contaminated and is safe. You trust that it will rain to
bring in the crops. When you get into a bus to go somewhere, you are trusting in the bus to get you
there and trusting in the driver to guide the bus safely down the road. We live daily by trusting in
multiple things.

If, however, every time you take a bus trip, the bus crashes. So far, in five trips, the bus has crashed five
times. Your level of trust dissipates with each trip, correct? If what you trust in lets you down, you may
want to transfer your trust to something or someone else!

In this lesson, we showed you how untrustworthy dating methods are. When rock samples that we
absolutely know are 38 years old are dated by scientists to be 2.8 million years old, something is very
wrong. We only listed a few of the inaccuracies of radiometric dating.

We would rather put our trust in one who has NEVER let us down. God always keeps his word. He is
faithful to the core. Aren’t you glad you can put your trust in God and His WORD knowing that he is
trustworthy?
