A. Cook, a renowned chemist at the University of Utah, has confirmed the authenticity of the sandal
print: “Quite obviously, this footprint could not be the result of any carving, since, until found by
Meister, it was covered by the strata above.”

15. Evidence of Polystrate Fossils
Numerous examples of trees that have been petrified and
passed through several layers of rock have been discovered in
the fossil record. These stone trees are embedded vertically in
the layers of the Geological Column, supposedly over thousands
or millions of years of time. This is an evolutionist's nightmare.
Creationists have explained this scientifically, using the Flood
model, demonstrating that the catastrophic force of
floodwaters and the movement of the surface of the earth
dislodged these trees. As the sediments began to fall, making
layers of rock, so did the weighted, unbalanced trees. They landed vertically in the sediments. When
the Earth began to cool, the sedimentary rocks were hardened in layers surrounding the tree, making it
a geological phenomenon. xcvi

16. Massive Graveyard of whales found in the Chilean Desert.

The fossils of approximately 80 baleen whales have been found buried in the Chilean desert just north of
Caldera. Researchers also found other kinds of marine mammals, including an extinct dolphin with tusks
and a sperm whale.

The fossils were found alongside the highway in an
area of about 70 feet by 800 feet. The whales were
about 25 feet long and perfectly preserved. The
question must be asked, "How did these whales end
up in the desert so far from water?" The field evidence
for a large-scale catastrophe is overwhelming, as these
research scientists have reported. The paleontologists'
supposed age for the fossils was about 2 million years.
More than likely, the fossils are only a few thousand
years old and were deposited at this site shortly after
the flood subsidence.

The sandstone strata containing the whale fossils are contained within a local area called the Caldera
basin. Obviously, these fossils were deposited at this remote site by water and were buried rapidly to
leave them intact for this discovery. xcvii

Conclusion:
The billions of fossils found to date speak of rapid burial by water, then rapid entombment under
millions of tons of sand and stone. Massive graveyards of plants and animals from all parts of the world
are buried together. Remember, presuppositions determine predictions. From a creationist's
viewpoint, the fossil evidence backs the predictions that a worldwide flood would have caused what we
see in the sedimentary rocks.
