Let’s get Personal…
Activity: Many people today spend all the money they receive. Very few SAVE to be able to GIVE some to
others in need. The Bible sets up the stewardship principle in managing money as this formula: GIVE SOME,
SAVE SOME, SPEND SOME. If you don’t do all three, you are not following God’s design for financial
management.
Take a moment and evaluate how you manage your resources. Do you GIVE, SAVE, then SPEND? What
changes in your management plan could you make to become more in line with God’s design?
Chapter 7: The Servant’s Protection

Have you ever started a job but quit when the going got tough? I have heard several pastors who want to
resign every Monday after preaching on Sunday! Have you heard the story about a wife who woke up on a
Sunday morning and said to her husband, “It’s time to get up Honey? We need to get ready for church!” His
reply was, “I don’t want to go to church today! I’m tired of all the bickering and unkindness of many of the
people there!” Her reply was, “Well, I’m sorry, husband, but you have to go to church today. You are the
pastor!”
