5. How did Nehemiah know that Shemaiah had been hired to do him wrong?

                6. Why was Nehemiah able to accomplish rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days?

                7. Who is responsible for accomplishing great tasks for God?

                           Let’s get Personal…

Activity: We are God’s servants. When someone is blessed by one of your sermons, Bible lessons, or
something you did for the Lord, they often compliment you. Do you quickly turn that compliment back to God?
We need to remember that we can accomplish nothing in our flesh of eternal significance. It is God who
accomplishes His plan in our lives. So when someone comes up to you and praises you for a job well done, be
sure to turn the praise back to Him who deserves it!!!

                                             Chapter 8: The Servant’s Convictions

will begin overseeing social reforms that were desperately needed. Nehemiah realized that God’s hand of
judgment would fall upon the Jewish people without these social reforms. Therefore, keeping the main thing
“the main thing,” he begins by establishing leadership in critical positions to bring about the social reforms that
were so desperately needed. Again, we must remember that everything rises and falls upon leadership. If any
team area refuses to work together as a team, it will affect the entire team because it takes teamwork to make
the dream work. If the social reforms were to become a reality, Nehemiah would have to get the right leaders
