Coptic Monuments:
White Monastery:
It is known as Anba Shenouda Monastery. It has been constructed
on the basilica-style, however some of its walls had Pharaonic
inscriptions and paintings. It had been constructed using some
columns and stones taken from Athribis city. It is one of the most
important churches in terms of space and luxury. In addition to a
number of monasteries, including: the Holy Virgin Mary
(Hawawish, Akhmim) , the Martyrs (Akhmim), the Archangel
(Akhmim), Anba Thomas the Hermit (Akhmim), Anba Tadros
Levantine and Anba Bisada.
