In  the  same  stream,  el-Karnak  pavilion  was  developed  and

               informal  settlements  were  removed  from  the  temple  yard.
               Moreover, the Luxor temple surrounding area was developed to

               embrace  Mosque  of  Abu  Hagag  with  an  open  area  around  the

               temple and the Mosque.



               In an effort to preserve monumental treasures at Qarnah region,

               the  largest  relocation  operation  was  carried  out  for  residents  of

               ancient tombs after several attempts to transfer them to al-Taref
               new  city  200  years  ago.  Worth  noting  that  al-Taref  embraces

               4200 housing units and has access to all utilities and services.



               Al-Kebash  Road  reopening  currently  that  linked  Luxor  and

               Karnak temples, underway, is one the most remarkable projects of

               the century that will go down in history.



               In the same context, el- Murayes area, south west of Luxor, was

               selected  to  establish  international  tourist  marinas  with  260

               floating boats capacity and at a cost of LE 500 million. As part of
               the  governorate's  sustainable  development  plan,  the  Nubian

               village  was  also  established  in  the  south  of  Luxor  to  revive  its
               heritage.




               The  village  has  exhibitions  for  Nubian  products,  as  well  as  an

               urbane  center  (Suzan  Mubarak's  Urbane Center  for  women)  for
