               in the  city  were  developed namely  (Al-Mahata, Al-Telefezyoun
               and Al-Edeisi streets).




               The railway station was also renovated and developed having an

               edge over other stations nationwide to reflect the tourist's nature
               of  the  city;  also  the  ring  road  was  constructed  on  the  city's

               outskirts to facilitate entry and exit of tourist buses as well as the

               increasing number of all means of transportation.



               Among  other  projects  were  the  developments  of  Luxor

               International  Airport  which  has  become  competitor  in  terms  of
               capacity compared with Cairo International Airport.

               Luxor Governorate is Located Southern Egypt, 670 KM south of
               Cairo, 220 KM north of Aswan.




               The City's national day:

               4th November commemorating the exploration of Tut ankhamon's

               tomb in 1922.
