Location:

Alexandria lies in the North West of Delta stretching over 70 km

long coast. The governorate is bordered in the North by the

Mediterranean Sea, in the East by el-Behera and in the West by

Matrouh governorate.

The Governorate's national day:

26th July commemorates the exodus of King Farouk in 1952.
