ACCELERATE INTERNATIONALIZATION INITIATIVES
Lead Office
External and International Affairs Office
Goal Statement
upport for internationalization efforts ranks high on the list of the University’s top
Smanagement. So far, we have forged numerous Memoranda of Understanding among
our foreign partners, and we will continue explore for more. Research collaborations
with respect to international partnerships remain intact. In addition, the Board of Re-
gents (BOR)-approved student exchange guidelines is operational.
Strengthen the existing EIA office with the provisions of ample budget for its op-
eration. Alternative derivation could be made through outsourcing of funds from in-
ternational institutions or grants-in-aid. Securing of state-of-the-art Information and
Communications Technology and Information System for monitoring purposes is highly
necessary. Further establish strong linkages among selected colleges and universities in
the ASEAN countries for faculty, staff, and student exchange, thereby giving impetus for
the creation of foreign language centers and international housing structures or dormi-
tories to be designed according to international and industrial standards.
Cultural programs for ISU and foreign students, faculty and staff could then be insti-
tutionalized.
