The U.S. needs to make space for
Latino youth and the role they will
play in our country’s future. Over
the next decade, about one million POPULATION SHIFTS OF REGISTERED VOTERS
Latinos will reach voting age each AGE 18-34 FROM 2008 TO 2018
year, and almost all will be U.S.
citizens.
From 2008 to 2018, Latinos +1.23 M NON-LATINOS TOTAL
contributed all (100%) of the
numerical growth of registered LATINOS
voters ages 18 to 34, adding well -1.24 M
over one million compared to a -2.47 M
decline of almost two and a half
million non-Latinos during the same
period. These increases are far-
reaching in swing states where many
