        Engine of Young Voter Growth

The U.S. needs to make space for
Latino youth and the role they will
play in our country’s future. Over
the next decade, about one million POPULATION SHIFTS OF REGISTERED VOTERS
Latinos will reach voting age each AGE 18-34 FROM 2008 TO 2018
year, and almost all will be U.S.
        citizens.

        From 2008 to 2018, Latinos +1.23 M NON-LATINOS TOTAL
        contributed all (100%) of the
        numerical growth of registered LATINOS
        voters ages 18 to 34, adding well -1.24 M
over one million compared to a -2.47 M
decline of almost two and a half
        million non-Latinos during the same
        period. These increases are far-
reaching in swing states where many
new Gen Z and Millennial voters are Source: US Census Bureau, Current Population Survey 2008 and 2018.

Latinos will reach voting age every year
and almost all will be U.S. citizens.
