The Sports Marketing and Creative team has been working
on the Tokyo Olympics for over two years, with promos and
teasers created back in 2019 before the Games were
canceled due to COVID. Ever since we got confirmation of
the event this year, the team has been working tirelessly
on giving a voice to the Olympics on our air and across
our properties that is consistent with the look and feel of
the NBC coverage, but focused on Hispanic athletes and
countries. I feel extremely proud of the work my team--
Giuliana, Jacobo, and the Juanes (Rico and Albornoz)--
has done.
I believe the Olympic games have a special allure
unmatched by any other event. It combines national pride
and a multitude of sports and disciplines that are usually
not in the spotlight. It also provides an incredible
opportunity for young and seasoned athletes to compete
on a leveled playing field for the most coveted award of
them all--the Olympic medal.
Personally, I am setting my alarms for the Games already!
Despite the time difference, I want to enjoy the spirit of
Olympics because I’m sure it will be an event to remember.
