Reading this book enables children, parents, therapists and educators to embark on a fascinating
journey to get acquainted with the language of the “Soul Creatures’ Land”. The book’s story, which
consists of everyday experiences with which most children are familiar, encourages them to get to
know their own magical powers and imps, learn how to recognize them and understand the price
they pay for allowing the imps to control their behavior. They also learn that they can choose
between two possibilities: let the imps control them or utilize their magical powers and control
            their imps!

This book contains a variety of creative ideas for activities, dialogues and experiential self-awareness
processes that can be implemented in class, in therapy, or with the family. Through these activities,
children learn how to apply self-regulation techniques, express feelings appropriately, control their
anger and impulses, cope with fears, frustration and negative behavior patterns.
This process helps children establish and strengthen the ego forces, by teaching them about the
impulses and emotions that drive their behavior and by providing them with an emotional language
that encourages self-control. This language contributes to reinforcing their internal resources and
the ability to tap into them, thus enhancing their self-image and mental resilience.
Parents, teachers and therapists using this book and the “Soul Creatures’ Land” cards will discover
an effective and easy-to-use tool that will help them empower children, making it easier for them to
cope with disciplinary problems, turn weaknesses into strengths and gain greater self-confidence.
This book relates to various common issues in children’s lives: attention deficit disorder, impulsivity,
difficulty controlling anger, fear, shyness, lack of self-confidence, difficulty in accepting responsibility
and coping with school tasks, and more – allowing most children to identify with the characters and
find things that are parallel to their own lives.

She has many years of experience providing therapy for children, youth and adults, parent counseling,
supervision of therapists and educators, lectures and workshops. She integrates various techniques in

Illustrator Shalom Kweller is an industrial and environmental designer, artist and teacher at Bezalel
Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, who engages in various fields related to plastic arts:
architectural and archeological perspective sketching, product design, signage, display design, illustration
and painting. The drawings for the cards inspired by the language of the “Soul Creatures’ Land” took
two and a half years to complete. The book and the cards were illustrated with a great deal of thought
regarding the depiction and graphic translation of the various “creatures of the soul” in a manner that
is both humorous and conveys the message correctly – this enables getting acquainted with the less
pleasant aspects of ourselves and having a non-threatening dialogue with these creatures.
