2. Role play
A guest makes a phone call to a restaurant to make a reservation for a party. He
will have 5 guests from Europe making their trip to his country this weekend. As
this is an important business party, he is supposed that the party will be well
arranged.
Work with your partner. Make a conversation between a restaurant clerk and a
guest. Use phrases in Useful Expressions. Some hints below may help.
Useful expressions
- How may I help you?
- I’d like to make a reservation, please.
- How many people is the reservation for?
- When would you like to come?
- Could you please try to arrange something?
- May I know your name please?
