CLOUD SERVICES
Endpoint Management
Application and Configuration
Endpoints – which include the devices and end-user touchpoints such as fixed-point tills, mobile devices, kiosks and tablets – will be built and installed by Omnico staff. This includes the on-site installation of the physical device, out-of-the-box product configuration (unless otherwise agreed), device configuration, and installation of any other software.
Anti-virus Management Service
Real-time monitoring provides live updates on the various endpoints (devices) with detections, protection status, which need attention, top threats and license summaries. Email alerts are generated for the customer to highlight these.
Event Management
This includes the monitoring of all event logs and services, with additional monitoring configured for alerting, automated resolution and escalation. This includes Standard Monitor Sets (maintains health and continuous data flow with a daily health check), Additional Monitoring (can be set up to monitor and alert for other line of business applications not directly related to Omnico products), and Endpoint Availability (an up-time report).
POS Domain
Note – the customer is responsible for managing their physical network infrastructure.
Omnico is responsible for managing the Active Directory services, as related to the POS devices, the DNS, Standard Group Policies and Managing Standard Security Policies (for example password rotation).
Endpoint Application Release Management
The deployment of three product updates per year will be undertaken by Omnico. This ensures the software remains competitive and receives updates that take into consideration the latest in user experience. Each update includes the development and testing of deployment procedures. Products from the Omnico Commerce suite includes Basket, Engage, Stock and Entitlements.
Endpoint Window Release Management
Omnico will manage the Windows patching for endpoints, with either monthly or quarterly patches such as security updates, service packs, and feature packs.
