STYLE TWO
Would the parents/children/family of <Couple’s Names> please stand?
I ask you, as the parents/children/family of <Name> and <Name>, do you promise to pray for and support them
as a couple in the new relationship which they are about to enter?
Response- We do.
STYLE THREE
Would the parents/children/family of <Couple’s Names> please stand?
Will you receive <Name> and <Name> into your family and uphold them with your love as they establish
themselves as a family within your own?
Response - We will
POSSIBLE ADDITION TO STYLES 1, 2 & 3 (May be added to above styles to include Guests)
And I ask you all here today, as witnesses to these vows, will you also support, as well as you are able <Name>
and <Name> in their new relationship?
Response - We will.
STYLE FOUR
Linda: Now, I ask that you, the friends and family of <Couple’s Names> stand. [All stand]
As family and friends, you form a community of support that surrounds <Couple’s Names>. Each of you, by your
presence here today is being called upon to uphold them in loving each other. You are encouraged to always stand
beside them, never between them. Offer them your love and your support, not your judgment. Encourage them
when encouragement is needed and listen to them when they ask for advice. In these ways, you can honor this
marriage into which they have come to be joined today. Do you offer your love and support to strengthen their
marriage and bless this family created by their union?
Guests respond: I do.
