The message of CSR Day 2018 continues to resonate
across SPi Global’s host communities in India, as
employee volunteers in Chennai and Pondicherry
share IT, build IT, and bring IT to students and
individuals in the grassroots at a sustainable level. For
the month of June, the goal of the CSR Champions
was to meet the leaders of beneficiary organizations
to check on their progress, as well as get a better
      understanding of their needs.

SEVALAYA TRUST Interaction with the physically and mentally
                                                                                 challenged children.
A registered charitable trust working within the Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts,
Sevalaya Trust is mainly focused on orphans and indigent senior citizens. They also have
more inclusive initiatives such as bakery services, caring for dry cows, and a community
college. The volunteers met with the founder of the trust and reaffirmed SPi Global’s
commitment of sponsoring the education of 63 children for one whole year.

      PREMA VASAM

One of the most inspirational beneficiaries during CSR Day was Prema Vasam, a home that
provides shelter for over 200 children. SPi Global has committed to give funding for the
well-being of physically, mentally and vulnerable children residing in the home. The visit
gave the CSR Champions a glimpse into the current conditions of 130 children who have
      special needs.

NATIONAL DIGITAL LITERACY MISSION CENTRE (NDLMC)

SPi Global’s CSR progam has equipped the National Digital Literacy Mission Center
(NDLMC) with desktop computers, laptops, tablets, a projector, and a printer. Along with
these, the centre was also given data cards for internet usage, as well as tables and
      chairs.

The meeting with the NDLMC management was fulfilling for the CSR Champions. Since
the completion of the center in March, students have been mobilized to attend their
classes. A total of 35 nearby villages are currently covered by SPi Global’s NDLM Center,
and an awareness campaign was initiated in order to reach more students in surrounding
      villages and attract more participants.
