SPi Global is big in its support of regional and countryside development. It’s clear in the company’s

         growth strategy in the Philippines that more of its expansions are to be directed to its provincial
         locations. This has made Dumaguete SPi Global’s biggest site in the Philippines and the city’s
         biggest employer, so far with 3000+ people essentially non-voice talent. Aside from the creation of
         jobs, we help spur the local economy, patronizing SMEs in the area for the goods and services that
         the company needs. With the earning capacity of its thousands of employees, consumer spending
         has driven the establishment of many small businesses. Having set up in Dumaguete opened up

         enormous multiplier benefits to the community and continues to help uplift the economic standing
         of thousands of families in the city and in the province of Negros Oriental.


         Being a good corporate citizen, SPi Global ensures that it participates in the task of social ameliora-

         tion. For many years, it has actively organized CSR projects aimed at education and youth welfare,
         working with LGUs, schools and various NGOs to implement different projects targeting hundreds
         of beneficiaries. In 2020, SPi Global pivoted from Corporate Social Responsibility to a Creating
         Shared Value (CSV) mindset, and aligned its programs with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
         (SDG) as applicable. With this strategic change, we look beyond merely doing good deeds for the
         community but doing good to create value for the company, for its beneficiaries and the community

         as a whole in a sustained manner, anchored on and supportive of global goals.  With the shift to CSV,
         were able to quickly expand our project themes and the range of choices of specific project activities
         that can be implemented. Moving forward with the UN SDG mindset, reporting CSV performance will
         now shoft at the triple bottom line framework (people, planet, profit) for evaluating and reporting

         CSV performance.


         Aside for working with the communities where we operate in, we also an active participant of the
         BPO Industry and a member of good standing at IBPAP, the industry association that looks after our
         sector’s welfare. We take part in the association’s various projects to promote industry development
         and growth, working with the government’s executive and legislative branches for industry protection

         and welfare. Key leaders are well respected industry resources and pillars. The COVID 19 pandemic
         highlighted the company’s commitment to support the industry and its efforts to bring to its mem-
         bers updated information on government policies, guidelines and various advisories, through the
         help of its leaders’ network. Alongside industry support, the company quickly set itself up for alterna-

         tive work arrangements so that employees are able to continue working, if they chose to. Measures
         focused at employee welfare were implemented. The SPi Global employee cooperative made loan
         availments quicker with online processing to help with financial security, plus defraying at-home,
         office-related expenses with equipment subsidies. Strict compliance to government-mandated
         health and safety standards ensures enhanced safety in the workplace. These standards included
         retrofitting the workplace to the enhanced safety protocols, ensuring skeletal workforce deployment,

         and providing near-site/onsite accommodations with transport options to reinforce .
