Getting Radified:
The Transitions Team: Keeping It Smooth
By Govindarajan “KG” Srinivasan, SVP for Strategy and Sales Support
As part of our initiative in setting up a strong transition process, we have come up with our own methodology
for transition in our industry. The SPi Global 3^P framework combines our learnings from many project
transitions over the last few years and creates a playbook for enabling a successful transition.
The 3^P framework lays out the key activities across the different phases of the transition. Plan is the
pre-transition stage, which requires due diligence. Prepare involves transition setup and knowledge
transfer. Perform marks the start of operations and getting to BAU.
The framework ensures that the transition approach is holistic. It takes into account multiple tracks that run
parallel to each other during a transition including people, process, technology, governance, and compliance.
It is designed to help guide the transition project manager in setting correct expectations, identifying risks,
and ensuring progress against plan while working with internal and

We also presented the 3^P framework as part of the RFP process. Due Diligence & Knowledge
Clients appreciate the depth of engagement as it provides them 3 ^P Transfer
with a mechanism to manage the transition on their side.
Today, we manage more than 10 projects as part of our
transition framework.
