Risk Management Plan
1
Competition and market competitors Risk
Currently, continuous growth of e-Commerce leads to an increase of new entrants in the transport business, including e-Marketplace platform operators entering the transportation business. This has resulted in more competitors and price competition for market share.
- Decrease in revenue and market share.
- Application of technology and innovations to improve the quality of goods and services in order to add value to existing products/ services and new services (New S-Curve)
- Collaboration with business partners to enhance competitiveness.
2
Investment Risk
THP is investing to explore business opportunities, especially in new businesses or services (New S-Curve) and technologies, to enhance its capabilities and competitive opportunities. In some areas, THP may lack expertise, which could pose a risk if the return on investment does not meet expectations.
- Return on investment may not reach the target or there may be financial loss.
- Seeking business partners to jointly invest in businesses that THP does not have expertise to reduce risks.
3
Risk Related to Personnel Preparation for Future Business Operations
Due to changing competitive landscape, specific knowledge related to postal services may be insufficient to drive the organization in the future. If THP cannot adequately prepare and develop its personnel with experience and expertise in areas such as strategy development, technology, innovation, and new product development in a timely manner, it could affect future business operations.
- Personnel’s body of knowledge may not sufficiently support future business operations.
- Lack of personnel with specialized knowledge and skills.
- Organizing training to enhance personnel’s skills and body of knowledge in various areas.
- Providing the personnel with scholarship to study in the field that will promote and contribute to development of the organization.
