Performance in line with Thailand Post’s Mission and Government Policies
1. Department of Internal Trade joined with Thailand Post to support Fruit Farmers
THP, as the country’s primary logistics agency, plays a continuous role in supporting fruit farmers by helping to distribute their produce. In 2024, it became part of the agricultural ecosystem development to drive the master plan under the national strategy by collaborating with the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, to implement the 2024 fruit management initiative. This aims to support fruit farmers in distributing their produce to consumers across all regions of the country during the peak season when large quantities of fruits are harvested. The Ministry of Commerce’s goal is to support 300,000 M-sized DIT boxes that can contain fruits weighing no more than 10 kilograms per box, or 3,000 tons of fruit. This initiative allows farmers or farmer groups and cooperatives to send fruits directly to consumers via THP’s EMS service free of charge. The service is available at post offices nationwide from 25 June to 30 September 2024, where farmers can pick up the boxes and send their fruits for free.
Farmers or cooperatives wishing to use the service can present their identification card/ registration book, or any official document issued by a government agency confirming their status as a farmer. They will be eligible to receive two sets of DIT fruit boxes and free shipping stickers per entitlement at post offices or provincial
      commerce offices.
   2. THP Project @ Thong Fah
THP has signed a cooperation agreement with the Department of Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce, to jointly develop the country’s logistics system and expand the utilization of the combined networks. This initiative will help facilitate services and reduce costs for the public and online retailers who wish to use parcel drop-off service in areas where other THP network is not yet established. The drop-off service is available at over 20,000 nearby Thong Fah shops nationwide. Additionally, the Thong Fah shops will have the opportunity to generate additional income by providing parcel drop-off services, with THP paying a remuneration for work volume per piece based on the data entered into the system.
