Thailand Post Business Operation Goals in Next 3-5 Years
The rapid expansion of the transport and logistics business, coupled with technological advancements, has led to significant changes in global consumer behavior. This shift requires industries to adapt their business strategies accordingly. In such a situation, THP has set a three-year goal to become a “Trusted Sustainable ASEAN Brand.” This vision focuses on sustainable business operations and establishing THP as a reliable ASEAN brand by emphasizing quality over price wars, shifting from a state enterprise mindset to a private-sector approach, transforming into an information logistics company, leveraging data to develop services that better meet customer needs and integrating existing data to benefit all sectors, enhancing customer trust and relationships, expanding the role of the postman into a “Post-Gentleman as a Service,” ready to provide a variety of services, operating under ESG+E principles (Environment, Social, Governance, and Economy). To achieve these objectives, THP has established five key strategies to drive organizational growth as follows :
Strategy 1
Strategy 2
Strategy 3
Strategy 4
Strategy 5
To improve the quality of work processes. The aim is to enable THP to manage work processes to support the creation of service standards to be at an appropriate level and effectively respond to customers’ needs. The objective is to upgrade the quality of the organization's services in the long run through the management of related work systems and those that are considered the core of postal operations that completely connect THP's services to customers.
To increase the productivity of personnel. It is expected that THP will be able to manage its overall personnel to have sufficient and appropriate numbers and have capabilities that are consistent with an approach for business operations in the future. THP will place its focus on encouraging its personnel to take part in adding value to THP and motivating them to use the capabilities that they will develop to efficiently support THP operations and increase the overall productivity of the organization to achieve the established goals.
To expand the revenue base in the transport and logistics business group.
The aim is to enable THP to manage its performance in the value-added services segment related to its transport and logistics business and international business covering all activities, including pre-transport and post-transport activities, as well as increase the ability to support services that cover all features of a variety of items efficiently and support the needs of e-commerce businesses both domestically and internationally. This can foster THP to expand its income base from domestic and international transport and logistics services in the long term, under a fierce price competition in transport business.
To balance the long-term business structure. The aim is to enable THP to manage its performance in the New S-Curve service segment by developing new services from the existing service and resources base to create a new main revenue base that allows THP to achieve its objective to balance business structure and ready to cope with environmental changes that may affect its operations in the long run.
To create sustainability for the organization and Thai society. The aim is to enable THP to upgrade its management to be an organization that focuses on creating sustainability for all stakeholders involved in its operations, both in respect of image and innovation, in order to support THP 's higher business capability. The objective is to build stakeholder engagement to THP's operation in the long run as well as to place importance on management to reduce environmental impacts resulting from its operation so that its work system can support the community, society and THP to achieve sustainability together.
