Important Investment Plans in 2024
In 2024, Thailand Post has implemented the key plans and projects by using the investment budget from the income allocation of Thailand Post as follows :
  1. Plan for Procurement of Electric Vehicles (EVs) for Delivery System
This plan intends to procure electric vehicles to replace
petrol vehicles to reduce air pollution, which affects environment, and respond to the government’s policy that promotes the use of environmentally friendly renewable energy in place of fuel in transport systems all over the country. The approved budget amounted to 629.71 million baht.
2. Replacement Vehicle Purchase Plan (Phase 3)
The purchase of new vehicles is made to replace the existing ones that are old and have been in use for more than 10 years to support the continuously increasing workload, to build the confidence of customers and to increase Thailand Post’s transport efficiency. The approved budget amounted to 75.24 million baht.
3. Smart Post Office Establishment Plan
This is to enhance service capability and generate additional income for Thailand Post through smart post offices in the form of values added and New S-Curve service in response to the changed lifestyles of service users who favor to use automated systems. The approved budget amounted to 44 million baht.
4. Postman Networking System Development Plan
This plan aims to develop and create Postman Networking Platform for effective work allocation and service provision of the delivery personnel who are ready to render service efficiently in line with business growth of customers/ partners. The approved budget amounted to 110 million baht.
5. Plan for Procuring Server Computers for Virtual Computing Systems
To support the operation of THP’s core systems, ensuring
continuous and efficient service, while also accommodating the increasing demand for server computers in the development of new systems in the future. The approved budget amounted to 36.81 million baht.
6. Plan for Development of New Retail Channel
It is the development of sales channel in the New Retail form that is open for service under the name of ThailandPostMart
to manage retail business and generate income for THP. It will also be a channel through which communities can sell their quality and reliable products. The system will be developed to be modern and keep up with current technology to meet the needs of customers. The approved budget amounted to 14.30 million baht.
7. Post Office Building Construction and Renovation Plan (Phase 3)
This is to improve operational areas and customer service
areas, and facilitate the operations and the service of postal staff. The approved budget amounted to 33 million baht.
8. Plan to Develop a Platform for Connecting Systems to Achieve Organizational Level Standards
This plan intends to develop THP’s connection of various
systems to be effective and able to facilitate the provision of services to business partners and outside users as well as respond to need of convenient, fast and efficient services. The improvement of the platform will elevate Thailand Post's service provision. The approved budget amounted to 18.70 million baht.
9. POST NEXT LAB Development Plan
This is a plan to develop a co-working space for developing potentials of innovators, startups/ SMEs, and entrepreneurs to have ideas, creativity skills, and to be an area for cultivating innovation ideas and digital technology into real use. The space also provides consulting service on postal and logistics business and a venue to meet or hold activities promoting the network of innovators, startups/ SMEs, and entrepreneurs in public and private sectors, as well as to give interested person an opportunity to present their products/ services and develop business ideas. The approved budget amounted to 11 million baht.
10. Postal Service Point Expansion Plan (Phase 2)
This is to expand postal service points covering all areas, so as to support service provision efficiently and allow customers to easily access Thailand Post's services with enhanced convenience, as well as to expand Thailand Post's customer base. The approved budget amounted to 7.97 million baht.
