The organizations, that aimed to promote eco-friendly initiatives related to their business operations, encouraged public participation in sustainability projects and requested support from THP, such as, providing off-site collection of waste and materials and offering special/ free transportation rates within the specified project period. This includes the following projects :
1. The “Waco Bra Day We ask for old bras” project, organized by Thai Wacoal Public Company Limited, collected underwear from customers and the public from June to 30 November 2024. The collected bras are disposed of through proper incineration using a Zero Waste process, converting them into fuel energy. A total of 28,640 kilograms of underwear were collected, resulting in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 43 tons carbon dioxide equivalent.
2. The “Million Powers : Painting Dreams for Border Patrol Police Schools” project, organized by BEC World Public Company Limited, Channel 3, THP, and partner organizations, encouraged the public to collect and donate used Polypropylene (PP) plastic, such as ready-to-eat food containers/ trays with the number 5 symbol, whether printed or unprinted. The collection period ran from August to September 2024, after which the materials were recycled into 5,000 watercolor paint boxes, complete with paint sets. These were successfully delivered to the Border Patrol Police Headquarters for distribution to students in Border Patrol Police Schools, in collaboration with partner organizations. A total of 1,489 kilograms of PP plastic were collected, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 1.53 tons carbon dioxide equivalent.
