In every cliff and valley, Dinosaur Provincial
Park holds a fascinating and ageless story. Its bad-
lands have yielded hundreds of museum calibre
specimens to dinosaur museum collections all over
the world. Its eerie, long shadowed vistas and over-
whelming silence, are inspiration to landscape
photographers everywhere.
The park’s fragile environs boasts a new field
station complete with camping facilities and, along
with the dinosaur sceletons, a very interesting array
of present day flora and fauna. Bus tours and hiking

Dinosaur Provincial Park is located two hours east of Calgary, Alberta, near Brooks, off the
Trans-Canada Highway. In 1980 it was designated a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE,
joining the ranks of other protected sites such as the Pyramids of Egypt, the Parthenon in Greece
and New York’s Statue of Liberty.
