Tips for recording at home

Recording with your phone
If recording with your phone, hold

your phone horizontally when
filming. Lighting

plenty of light but sure the light is

facing you and not behind you.

Choose proper framing

so there is not too much

room above your head.

Look at the camera

Have your phone or computer
propped at eye-level so you are not
looking up or down at the camera but

directly into the camera.

Timing

Make sure you pause 5 seconds prior to

starting your talk and at the end of your talk.
This will provide a buffer for editors when

putting everything together. We don’t want to

start or end your recording with your hand

going up to turn on/off your camera.
