United Solutions has also worked with the State of Maryland on modernizing legacy infrastructure systems and developing mobile applications for the Motor Vehicle Administration, Transportation Authority, Health Care Commission and Highway Safety Grants Management. At the county government level, United Solutions is modernizing the budgeting process for the Montgomery County Public School System.

Nguyen, a Vietnamese native whose family escaped in a boat in the mid-1970s, holds Bachelor
of Science degrees in computer science, biochemistry and physiology from the University of Maryland; an MBA with a focus on financial management from MIT; and JD with a focus on Business Law from the George Mason University School of Law. Modernize legacy systems by stacking blockchain, machine-learning, robotic processing automation and cognitive intelligence technologies
At the Government CIO Media conference, Jose Arrieta, the former director of IT 70 Schedule Contract Operations, discussed his efforts to revolutionize procurement using open source blockchain technology at the GSA. Arrieta worked with United Solutions to create and test the first successful proof of concept in the world (public or private sector) for using blockchain technology to automate GSA’s procurement process. In this proof of concept, “we were conservatively looking at lowering our OpEx costs by 80% to 90%,” said Arrieta. “These are little changes. But the ripple effect that they have on your agency is huge.”
