on behalf of the chapter leadership, i would like to welcome you to our 2020

annual Scholarship event for the los angeles chapter of the national black
mba association. The los angeles chapter is one of the largest and most ac-
tive of the 40 chapters across the country. however, nothing speaks more of

our core values and mission than the awarding of scholarships to outstand-

ing students who have demonstrated a desire to become future leaders em-
powered by their achievements in higher education. The theme for today’s
program echoes that of our 50th anniversary, “celebrating Visionaries”. our

distinguished Key note Speaker, Sharoni denise little, ph.d., ed.d., will share

her personal story, insights and advice on how to obtain a high level of suc-
cess in business leadership. we can’t wait to hear the powerful message she
has for our students today. The los angeles chapter is excited to award our

2020 scholarships to recipients from both our leaders of Tomorrow program

and our students working towards master of business administration de-
grees. we thank the families, mentors and sponsors who have encouraged all
of them on their academic journey. again, thank you for sharing our recogni-

tion and appreciation of these worthy students. we hope you will join us in

playing a part in promoting excellence in education and empowering their
present to ensure their future and academic success!
