GRAND FINALS DAY #1

The first junior finals of 2015 were held on August     Full results
15 at Mount Smart Stadium #2, with 10 hours of          U/13 Open Plate
back-to-back rugby league action played out.            Mangere East Rumblehawks 20 Otara Patriots 16.

The day got off to thrilling start with the U/13 Open   U/12-13 Restricted
Plate final requiring extra time. After scores were     Hibiscus Coast Gold 16 Te Atatu Red 10
locked at 16-all the Mangere East Rumblehawks
rallied to score in extra time, winning 20-16 over the  U/14-15 Restricted
Otara Patriots.                                         Manurewa 20 Bay Roskill 10

The U12-13 Restricted minor premiers Hibiscus           U/16-17 Restricted
Coast Gold made no mistake in the final, edging out     Mt Albert 28 Ellerslie 6
Te Atatu Red 16-10, while in the U/14-15 Restricted
Manurewa beat Bay Roskill 20-10.                        U/15 Open Pennant
                                                        Otahuhu 34 Ellerslie 10
While scores were tied at 6-all going into the sheds,
Mt Albert proved too good for Ellerslie in the second
half of the U/16-17 Restricted final, running out 28-6
winners.

Both Otahuhu and Manurewa were convincing
winners, taking out the U/15 Open Pennant and U/14
Open Pennant respectively.

In the U/13 Pennant the Marist Saints produced the
comeback of the day, trailing Pt Chevalier 18-0 at the

break in their game only to storm home and win          U/13 Pennant

The day's final game saw a Manurewa v Manurewa
clash in the U/13 Championship, with the club's         U/13 Championship
