Premiership, the Rovers are back for 2016.

“It’s a totally different game coming from the Sharman up
into the Fox,” says Isaac AhKuoi-Atmore who spoke on
behalf of the team at the launch of the Fox Memorial.
“We know we’ve got to step up our game, but we’re
looking forward to the season,” he said.
It was a crowded house at Grey Lynn Park on Saturday
April 9, with the much-anticipated return of Richmond to
the first division.
Down by just 12 points in the first half, the Rovers were
unable to muster a win for their home crowd going down
24-54 to the Marist Saints.
In other games, Glenora beat Northcote 54-10, Howick
won their first game at home winning 52-40 against
Otahuhu and Papakura recorded a convincing 50-24 win
In the Sharman Cup Premiership competition Te Atatu
celebrated their first victory of the year demolishing
Papatoetoe 54-0 at home.
A tough encounter between New Lynn and Manurewa,
the Stags fell short just four points with the Marlins
claiming their first win for the season 20-16.
Richmond have their first away game this week in Rd 2
with their clash against Otahuhu at Bert Henham Park at
2.30pm.
