Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, Bangalore North celebrated the Independence
day with great gusto on Sunday 15.8.2021. The National flag was hoisted by our
Principal Smt. Mamatha Raviprakash. The theme of this year’s celebration was
inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech about ‘India at 75’ combined
with a prayer for things getting better in the form of ‘We Shall Overcome’.
The songs, new and old, gave tribute to the spirit of patriotism with the hope for
tomorrow. The dances presented a picture of all that India has achieved in 75 years
along with portraying the diversity of various states. The video presentation
brought out the Achievements of India in each field in a very innovative manner.
The Kannada skit paid homage to the freedom struggle by narrating the tale of
Jhansi Ki Rani Laxmibai. The English skit explained with great clarity the five pillars
of independence as delineated by our Prime Minister.
All the programmes were received very well by the audience and cheered on
endlessly. The Principal, Mamatha Ma’am praised the entire Senior Secondary
Section along with the batch of Class 11 for their enthusiastic participation and
smooth organization.
