History helps us to develop a better understanding of the world. It gives us a very
clear picture of how the various aspects of society worked in the past so we
understand how it came to work the way it is now.
This concept was introduced to students with the story of Ekalvya. Students were able
to understand that situation as they are attending virtual classes now. They
understood that nothing is impossible if we are dedicated and determined.
Then they recalled their sweet memories with their grandparents and shared it with
their friends. They realized how Grandparents offer a link to a child's cultural
heritage and family history. Later, students exhibited old coins, stamps and some
antique pieces that were available at their houses. They shared the stories behind
those things. These activities helped the students develop some important skills like

critical thinking, research, assessing information etc.
