On 8 June, a class discussion was conducted for students of Std VII on World Oceans
               th
Day. The discussion was on the theme ‘The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods’. The
students discussed on the wonders of the ocean and how it is our life source,
supporting humanity and every other organism on Earth. The discussion proved to
be successful as it enabled the students to come out with various ideas to conserve
         ocean pollution.

Today, throughout the world, around 218 million
children work, many full-time. They do not go to
school and have little or no time to play. Many do
not receive proper nutrition or care. The World
Day Against Child Labour was observed by the
students of Std IX who discussed the plight and
endangerment of a child labourer. An award-
winning short animated video on child labour
was also shown followed by power point
                                                                on the
       presentation by students which focused
impact of the crisis on child labour. Students also
expressed their views and thoughts on
       eradication of child labour.
