This SOP's Purpose/Goal
To ensure that there is a formal an systematic evaluation of all learning events and that a data analysis is conducted that
identifies opportunities for improvement.
Standard Operation:
1. After the completion of each learning event, the Data Manager will obtain the compilation of all survey responses completed
in Moodle.
a. Log into Moodle LMS as administrator with username and password.
b. From Moodle dashboard navigation, select learning event/course on right under selected course. Select course
evaluations module.
c. Under Course Administration tab, select 'Restore'.
d. From Restore window, select 'Manage Backup Files'.
e. Right-click on the backup file and click 'Download'.
f. Download and save file to your local hard drive in excel format .xls.
g. Email results relevant parties identified for review and evaluation.
2. The course instructor / Senior Consultant will obtain the compilation of all Moodle survey responses from the Data Manager for
the course to be evaluated.
a. The Data Manager will email the compilation of survey evaluations to the course instructor / Senior Consultant.
3. Based on the compilation of evaluations, the course instructor / Senior Consultant will perform a qualitative analysis of the
responses provided.
a. The course instructor / Senior Consultant will look for common themes within each of the responses of the surveys.
b. The course instructor / Senior Consultant will note any anomalies from common themes in the surveys.
c. If the comments are overall pessimistic and/or bleak, the course instructor / Senior Consultant will research the
performance measures from the associated learning event. This will allow the course instructor / Senior Consultant to assess
the difficulty of the course.
d. Based on the responses, the course instructor / Senior Consultant will need to assess if changes are required to the course.
4. Based on the analysis performed, the course instructor / Senior Consultant will review the course design documents for the
learning event to assess and confirm the changes to be made.
a. The course instructor / Senior Consultant will assess the learning event course design documents from MyCloud.
b. Open an Internet browser and navigate to https://home.mycloud.com/cloud/file.
c. Navigate to the IACET Certification Materials folder.
d. Obtain the materials for the learning event assessed.
5. Based on the analysis performed, the course instructor / Senior Consultant will complete the Course Review Form for any
changes to be implemented.
a. The course instructor / Senior Consultant will forward the completed Course Review Form to the Data Manager to construct
any changes to the course within Moodle.
