We have completed our review of Password Administration for Guilford County’s Emergency
Services Technical Support group. We reviewed current information as far back as 2003 to
current documentation. Our work was performed in accordance with best practice Internal Audit
Methodology which is consistent with the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors Standards for
Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. As agreed, the review did not constitute an
examination in accordance with full scope generally accepted auditing standards.

The findings in this report were reviewed by Guilford County’s Director of Internal Audit, and
the responses are included in this report. This report is intended for the information and use of
Guilford County’s Internal Audit Department.

We extend our appreciation to the management and staff in the Information Services and Internal
Audit departments. Their assistance and cooperation were invaluable during this review.
