First Time Yield (FTY)
• First Time Yield (FTY) is a metric used in manufacturing and process
improvement to measure the percentage of products or services that
are produced correctly on the first try, without the need for rework or
correction. FTY is calculated by dividing the number of defect-free
products or services by the total number of products or services
produced.
• FTY is a useful metric for identifying opportunities to improve quality
and reduce waste in manufacturing and process improvement.
