Goal 3: Low-Income People Own a Stake in Their

               Community



               National Performance Indicator 3.1 – Community Enhancement through
               Maximum Feasible Participation


               NPI 3.1: The number of volunteer hours donated to Community Action.


               Goal 3 is focused on documenting how low-income people are supported in owning a stake in
               their community. NPI 3.1 provides a snapshot of involvement of low-income individuals in their
               community by tracking the number of volunteer hours donated by this population.


               Overview: NPI 3.1 collects the number of hours donated by low-income volunteers to
               Community Action.


                     Only include volunteer hours donated by low-income individuals. Volunteer time can be
                       for any program or activity.

               Applicable Activities:

                     Recruit and involve low-income participants in any Community Action initiatives
                     Recruit and involve low-income community members on the Board of Directors
                     Recruit and involve low-income representative for Head Start Policy Council
                     Track volunteer hours donated
