LCIF Coordinator
PDG Barbara Moody’s Message
It all started in 2018, when Lions Clubs International was celebrating our Centennial year .
At the same time, we were commemorating the 50th. anniversary of Lions Clubs International
Foundation.
What a beginning! It was also a privilege for Lions of the world to assemble in Chicago, to
celebrate our “Past” and prepare to solidify our “Future” with a proposal called “Campaign 100”.
The purpose was to empower Lions to live out the motto, “We Serve” and establish a positive
impact on generations around the globe.
The unprecedented challenge for our second centennial of service was to raise $300M and
complete 600M acts of service over a period of three(3) years.
Unfortunately, the worldwide “shut down” and the devastating effects of “COVID19”presented a
great setback, causing the campaign to be extended for an extra year.
But Lions in District 20-K1 are resilient. We exceeded our goal of $100,000 for 2021 - 2022;
We did it! We are a part of the legacy of Campaign 100!
We raised $101,383.00 (as of June 8, 2022) in contributions to Campaign 100!
Communities all over the world will benefit from our contributions.
Lions, it is with a heavy heart that I pass the LCIF leadership baton to another competent Lion who
will continue to keep our District relevant as we serve humanity. “Where’s there’s a need, there’s a
Lion.”
Thank you for 7 fruitful years serving as LCIF Coordinator. I will never forget your fortitude,
especially during this final year of Campaign 100.
WE ACCOMPLISHED MUCH!
Lion Barbara Moody, PDG
