    Another Successful Fundraiser for the Springfield
                 Gardens Lions Club, Inc.
  On Sunday, May 22, 2022, members of the Springfield Gardens
  Lions Club, family, friends, Lions and Leos joined Inc. to watch
  the dance drama play “Oya”. The play told of a folklore story of
  the Yoruba spirituality. Through the efforts of Chairperson Lion
  Sandra Townsend and Co-Chairperson Lion Lowena Howard the
  club was able to sell 48 tickets. The club is grateful for the
  efforts of Lion Sandra and Lion Lowena to ensure the club’s
  success on this fundraiser to raise donations for future charitable
  giving to local and international organizations.
   Springfield Gardens Lions Club, Inc. Celebrates the
         Mothers of Dove House for Mother’s Day
  On May 4, 2022, members Lion Sandra Townsend, Lion Gloria
  Garraway, and Lion Randy Lewis of the Springfield Gardens
  Lions Club, Inc. celebrated the mothers of Dove House, a
  domestic violence shelter for Mother’s Day. The club was able
  to honor 19 mothers for their love, dedication and devotion to  Springfield Gardens Lions Club, Inc Celebrate Mothers on

   Springfield Gardens Lions Clubs, Inc. March in the
         Annual Laurelton Memorial Day Parade
  On Monday, May 30, 2022, club members Lion Sandra
  Townsend, Gloria Garraway, Lowena Howard, Merle Warren,
  Greta Salsbury, and Yvonne Wilson joined members of
  Laurelton Lions Club, Inc and community organizations to
  march and celebrate the veterans of Laurelton and beyond. Club
  members were able to take a moment and pose with New York
  State’s Attorney General Leticia James.  The parade featured
  members of Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, elected officials, and
  community organizations such as the Queens Library, Omega Psi
  Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternities and Delta
  Sigma Theta, Sigma Gamma Rho, Zeta Phi Beta and Alpha
  Kappa Alpha Sororities. The parade ended at the Veterans Circle
  for a solemn ceremony and remembrance of those veterans that
  the country and the community have lost. A special part of the  Springfield Gardens Lions Club, Inc. Memorial Day Parade 2022
  ceremony included an explanation of the folding of the American
  flag and celebration of the women that have served in the Armed  Reported by, Lion Iris Allen
  forces. Club members left the event with a renewed spirit to
  support and uplift our veterans.
