PDG Narcissus Frett - Moses (Mid-Bedford Heights) continues to make steady progress, following her recent
illness.

Lion Christine Kirton (Treasurer, Brooklyn Prospect Heights Lions Club and Past Reporter, Kings and Queens
Newspaper) is saddened by the passing of her dear brother, Mr. Peter Kirton. We share your grief and pray
that the love and comfort of God’s Holy Spirit will soothe the broken hearts and bring peace to the family. He
lives in your heart:. “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Immediate Past Region Chair Hyacinth and Region Chair Levi Jeffers (Brooklyn Alpha) report that their dearly
beloved mother, Mrs. Ellen Liburd – Christopher has transitioned from her earthly body and now rests in the
glory and peace of God’s eternal paradise. “Come! Possess the kingdom that I’ve prepared for you.”
Region Chair Carolina Soto announces that her loving husband, Mr. Jorge Soto has passed from this life into
eternity with his creator. We pray that his dear wife and family find comfort as they recall pleasant
memories. “Blessed are those who rest from their labor, for their good deeds follow them”
Lion Yvonne Beneyarko (Charter Member, Queens Village) has completed her kingdom assignments through
diligent service with kindness and love. She now rests peacefully in eternity. “Let not your heart be troubled”
Lions James and Andrea McKnight (Past Presidents and Charter Members. Red Hook Lions Club) mourn his
passing but celebrate the life of their son. May the angels welcome him into eternal paradise. “Peace be with
you during this difficult season.
Lion Pearl Roberts-Parris (Charter member and Past President, of Hollis Lions Club, Past Reporter and Editor,
Kings and Queens Newspaper) has completed her long life of community service and has answered her
Creator’s call to rest in eternity with Him. ‘It is well with my soul”
Lion Julian Embrack (President, Ridgewood / Glendale / Middle Village Lions Club and Chairperson of District
Alert Team) reports the peaceful passing of his dear mother, Mrs. Lynette Calder. We are grateful for her
journey that lasted for 94 years and now rests safely in the welcoming arms of her Creator. May the
wonderful memories of her life bring comfort to the family. “Morning by morning, new mercies you’ll see!”
Lion Vinette (Yvonne) Evans (Charter Member, Brooklyn / Vanderveer Park / Glenwood Lions Club) mourns the
transition of her dear mother, Mrs. Mavis Gowe, in Jamaica, West Indies. “Blessed are those who mourn for
they shall be comforted” May The Divine Healer wipe every tear from your eyes and bring you peace that
surpasses all understanding.
Lion Jackie Bowen (Laurelton Lions) is saddened by the loss of her sister, Ms. Marline Bowen who
transitioned to eternity in Jamaica, West Indies. “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give
you rest. for your soul”.
Lion Eleanor Smith (Past President of Brooklyn Metropolis) and family are saddened by the loss of her sister,
Eumi Linda Holder. After living in London for most of her life she made her transition in Trinidad. May your
beautiful memories of your sister help you through this difficult time.
