MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
PDG ASSOCIATION,
PDG Jacqueline Williams, Esq.
Happy Holidays Lions of Brooklyn and Queens,
On behalf of the Past District Governors Association , I extend a heartfelt greeting to you and your family during this
wonderful holiday season!
Our family of Lions in Brooklyn and Queens serves proudly in various recognized and sometimes quietly in
unacknowledged projects. Non-Lion family members help to serve meals, wrap gifts, shop for toys, visit with the sick
and support those who are less able. With you, they make it possible for children and adults who are in medical facilities
or nursing homes to enjoy beautiful holiday music, while sipping hot cocoa, on days when they cannot visit with their own
family and friends. As Lions, you raise funds to support the disadvantaged in our local and global community. You send
holiday greeting cards and snacks to our deployed military personnel. On behalf the people deserve, the Past District
Governors salute you for every act of kindness that uplifts the life of persons you may never even meet.
Your service matters!
Your capacity to share this Lionistic journey with family and friends matters even more!
Your Past District Governors are proud to participate, standing shoulder to shoulder with you in our clubs, as you plan and
execute these compassionate acts of service.
As we look towards 2024 and beyond with hope and expectancy, the members of your PDG Association urge you to tap
into their collective years of knowledge and experience. During these challenging times, we can offer mentoring,
resources and guidance with alternative perspectives to support sustainability at your club level. If you are interested in
leadership opportunities, contact a PDG . We are enthusiastic about sharing some insights and advice that can be
invaluable.
As we reflect on the life-changing global pandemic experiences since 2020, we recognize that the needs in our
communities have become more challenging. Self care, balance and perspective must become our central focus as we
move forward.
I propose that you celebrate this “Lionistic Journey of a Lifetime” as you approach 2024 with all its promises for success.
Let’s move swiftly with joy, blessings and hope for brighter days!
Let’s move with conviction and renewed commitment to our agenda of humanitarian service that is relevant to our fellow
Lions and our community at home and abroad.
Thank you for every act of kindness and service as you strive to “Change the World”
Yours in Lionism,
Jackie Williams,
