First Responders Leo Club supports JAR of Hope.
On October 27th, First Responders Lions club hosted their October General Meeting with special guests,
including NYPD Captain Dion Hinds, Commanding Officer of the 69th precinct and Founder of JAR of Hope
Jim Ranoffe and his son James and members of First Responders Leo Club. were also invited.
Leo Anaya Willabus (Club President), thanked First Responders Lions Club for supporting their 5K
Run/Walk fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy, which was held on October 1st at Prospect Park in Brooklyn.

Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disease that affects children mostly from birth and leads to muscle
degeneration causing weakness and loss of muscle mass. Children who suffer from this disease are often
wheelchair bound.
Jim Ranoffe and his son James were very thankful for the generous financial donation and said he looks
forward to partnering again next year to provide a bigger and better event!
