Membership- Tell the Story, Add & Retain Members – Presenter: PDG Pauline Francis
At the end of this session participants will learn:
 The basic four-step process for recruiting new members.
 The importance of keeping clubs productive, efficient and meaningful to their members.
 In addition, conducting a special Induction Ceremony, New Member Orientation/Mentoring are critical
for retaining members.

Nurturing our Future Leadership-Mentoring & Delegation Matters – Presenter:
PDG Melissa Torres
This presentation will identify some of the critical skills that will enhance the leadership experience,
specifically by:
 Encouraging and guiding club leaders to establish a Lions Mentoring Program by looking at the benefits
and rewards of such a program;
 Delegating tasks to ensure members’ participation and personal growth;
 Demonstrating appreciation of members' efforts by recognizing their contributions.

Diabetes Education and Grants – Presenters: Tarika James, MD & Lion Mildred Ramirez
 Dr. James will focus on educating our Lions on what Diabetes is, its causes, care, support, impact and
more.
 Lion Mildred will define the MD20 Matching Grant and explain how it will help the Lions and families
in underserved communities throughout New York State.

Spanish GAT – Presenters: Lion Paulina Esther San Roman & PCC Miriam Vasquez
This presentation will be conducted in Spanish and the topics will include the following:
 Mentoring, Delegation, and Recognition
 How to retain our members and attract new members.
