                             Displaced migrants

Six (6) migrant families were evicted from a New York City Shelter after their 60 days stay expired and
placed in bare temporary housing with no household essentials.

On February 10, 2024,, club members gifted them with assorted pots, cooking utensils, dishes,
drinking glasses, cups, kettles, blenders, blankets, comforters, sheets, bath towels, toiletries, clothing,
shoes, pocketbooks and other necessities to support their living situation. (See photos)

The beneficiaries were overwhelmed with gratitude and the Lions were equally gratified to serve the
destitute with love and kindness. The club especially thanks their Zone Chair Angela Doldron (New
Horizon Lions Club) and all other donors for their contributions toward this worthy humanitarian cause.
“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”, suggested Muhammad Ali.
