Queens buddha & Queens ktm lions
cancer article “translation”
On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Queens Buddha and
Queens KTM Lions Clubs jointly organized a program to
create an awareness about Childhood Cancer.
Dr. Suvarna Giri and Dr. Anil Bisht, from the Institute of
Medicine IOM Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj, provided
information about the cancer disease, to the students of
class 7-12 of Trimurti Academy Basanwari, Kathmandu. In
addition to answering their questions and solving the
curiosity of the students, doctors used latest technology Pic with Hindi article
and audio-visuals to make the program inspiring and
interesting. Efforts were made to give more information
related to cancer in a short time. The program was
completed in coordination with Dr. Suman Acharya and
donations from his peers.
Trimurti Academica Principal Prof. Dr. Kishore Kumar
Rajbhandari felt that such a program is necessary for the
students and our society and also to bring World Cancer
Day to the forefront of awareness. The school
administration and staff were very cooperative with the
preparations for this program , including securing the
necessary permissions.
Queens KTM Lions Club President, Rashmi Shrestha
expressed her happiness in coordinating her club's
program in Nepal and the much-needed meeting. Lion
Secretary Karuna Shrestha and Lion Treasurer Aruna
Lamale expressed that it would be a pleasure to invite all
Lions to contribute to the program, even if in a small way,
and help to bring this program to Nepal. Officers from
Queens Buddha, Lion Senior Vice President Buddha
Paudel, Zone Chair Khadag Pulami, Former Zone Chair
Arjun Gaudel, Former President Rimaya Nepali, Vice
President Chandra Nepali appreciated the clubs’ efforts to
organize this program in Nepal and expressed the desire to
make every possible effort to offer other sessions to reach a
larger target community,
There were about 80 participants, including members of
the Governing Committee of Trimurti School in Nepal,
parents, teachers and students.
