We Serve Where Needed and When Needed
A special “in-person”

general meeting

On Saturday February 24, 2024, the Marine
Park Lions Club (MPLC) held its first in-person
monthly general meeting (all previous meetings
were held virtually) since the pandemic.

The President, Lion Dr. Albert Duncan, opened
the meeting and welcomed members and
guests. The guests included Lion Jennifer
Seymour-Wright who presented a brief address,
and four prospective Lions. The program
included a Pinning ceremony for Officers as
well as new Lions. This was led by Region Chair,
Lion Gloria Rennie-Murray and Zone Chair, Lion
Marlyne Daniel-Paul.
Even though the agenda maintained the formal
format of a Lion’s Club general meeting, the
atmosphere was relaxing, fostering fruitful and
open discussion, which seemed to enhance the
connection and interaction among the Lions
present.
Members were excited, and prospective Lions
enthusiastically expressed their desire to join
the club. It was indeed an effective general
meeting.
