                      FIVP Douglas X. Alexander

This is an awesome opportunity to serve the world. And
I do not take it lightly! Before I accepted this mission, it
was important to confirm approval and support from my
daughters and partner-in-service, 2nd. VDG Shabiki VDG Anthony Cochran for DG
(60A). Although my life has changed, I still prefer to be
called “Lion Doug” because I will always be a serving
Lion, long after I leave the office as President. My goal
is to make a positive difference in the lives of disadvan-
taged peoples globally and “pay the rent for the space I
occupy here on earth”. VDG Ingrid Andrews Campbell for 1st VDG

Despite our commitment to the motto, “WE SERVE”, it
is wise that we “SERVE SAFELY.” Our acts of humani-
tarian service are needed now, more than ever. LCIF
grants have helped our District to “Change Lives and
Deliver Hope”by providing respite meals to First Re-
sponders at hospitals and other health facilities in the
epicenter of the pandemic. District R2 was also able to
provide machines to quickly clean ambulances prior to a
rapid turn-around to service critically infected and sick
          patients.

My promise to make you proud is as relevant today as
when I served as International Director. As International
President, my priority will be Leadership Development.
With proper guidance and training, opportunities must be Lion Emerson Campbell for 2nd VDG
open to all who aspire to this level of service. Open
Communication is critical for the growth of Lionism at
the club level, through the ranks to the officials. Infor-
mation must be equally shared with transparency of poli-
cies, standards and practices Member Satisfaction is an
area that must be analyzed to uncover alternate options to

bution to the wellness of the community. Leos are our
“now” leaders whose ideas are noteworthy Currently,
LCI has 2 Leo liaisons on The Board of Directors to
assist with innovative planning. A Telethon to increase
community visibility and raise funding for LCIF / Cam-
paign 100 is scheduled for April 13. If each Lion mem-
ber across the world pledges $5.00 LCIF will receive $7
million in funds to support humanitarian causes globally.

I appreciate every effort that has been made to support
the success of my campaign. Thank you! Lion Antonio Robles for 2nd VDG
